Early Intervention in San Francisco

We use the DAYC-2 assessment (Developmental Assessment of Young Children Second Edition) to identify children with possible delays in five different domains primarily with cognitive, social-emotional, physical development (fine and gross motor), language development (receptive and expressive), and adaptive skills. Conducting an initial assessment is an important first step before providing services to children in San Francisco. Development Assessment of Young Children provides educators, parents, and families with critical information about a child’s development and growth. This also helps give us the information we need to develop an individualized plan for each child.
